Dr. Luchey has received numerous awards for her contributions in the field of Education and her community including: Who’s Who Among American Teachers (Counselors); NY State Senator Antoine Thompson “Educator Award” for Women’s History Month; Mayor Byron Brown, City of Buffalo Education/Community Service Award; “Uncrowned Queen” by the Uncrown Queens Institute for Research and Education on Women, Incorporated; and Niagara Partnership KPMG Athena Young Professional – Finalist.
She is a proud and active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated (Buffalo Alumnae Chapter); previously served as the Vice President of the Niagara-Orleans County Counseling Association (NOCA). She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Mental Health Association for New York State (MHANYS). She has dedicated her life to educating the community on mental health awareness and ending the stigma associated with Mental Illness.

For nearly thirty years, Dr. Luchey has assisted children and adults with learning to heal their core, love themselves and live at their maximum abilities. She considers it an honor and privilege to work with people. It is her goal to instill in every person with whom she meets the belief that they are “full of promise” rather than “at risk”.
